Karthika was born to actress Radha and hotelier Rajasekharan Nair and is the niece of actress Ambika . She has two siblings, a brother and a sister. Career
She made her debut in the 2009 Telugu film, Josh opposite Naga Chaitanya. She is now appearing in the Malayalam film, Makaramanju directed by Lenin Rajeendran, starring alongside ace cinematographer and director Santosh Sivan. She also acted in the movie Ko (film) with Jeeva and Ajmal Ameer.

The 17-year-old, who's a music and movie buff, likes to hang out with close friends. "I am too young for pubbing and prefer spending time with my siblings a brother and a sister," she reveals. The level-headed teenager is also a talented classical dancer and painter. "I want to master all dance forms. Doing portraits is another passion," she smiles.
The teenager also mentioned that It's not easy being a star daughter. Keeping a low profile was deliberate. "Even my mom wanted it that way. She felt my talent should speak for me," she reasons.
